Instruction
Homework is a vital part of the total learning process. Curriculum Maps and Syllabi are sent home to parent the first week of School. Homework serves to provide essential practices in needed skills; enrich and extend the School experience; and promote growth and responsibility. Homework is given every day.
Academyic Policy
P368K Grading Policy Grading Policies are developed School-wide, departmentally and by classroom teachers.
- Teachers are responsible for completing the progress notes on Measurable Annual Goals section of the IEP. The reporting of student progress is mandated. The progress notes must be sent out to parents with each report card.
- Promotional Criteria will be guided by the Regulations of the Chancellor A-501, and student IEPs. Elementary School Explanation of Grades:
Excels in Standards 4 Excellent n (numeric grade between 90-100)
Meeting Standards 3 Proficient n (numeric grade between 80-89)
Approaching Standards 2 Below (numeric grade between 65-79)
Far Below Standards 1 Failing (numeric grade <65)
